IBEW Picnic 2019

The LU112 apprentices are helping to put on the annual picnic in the park.  All IBEW members and their families are invited to come down to Columbia Park at the band shell at 12:00pm Noon on September 14th for food, games, and raffles.  There will be children’s games, bounce houses, and adult games.  As always there will be raffles for various items donated by many of our local businesses.  Hope to see you there!!!

JOURNEYMAN CONTINUIND EDUCATION INFORMATION

Journeyman courses are availabe to all LU112 members, with priority going to our signatory participants. A signatory participant is a LU112 member working for one of our signatory contractors...a contractor paying into the Trust. Prices for members and non-members are listed below. Please note...Journeyman CEU classes must be pre-paid at least (3) days ahead of time, otherwise a "walk-in" rate will apply.

First Aid / CPR (8hrs – 4CEU)
An industry safety related course covering Industrial First Aid,
Basic Life Support, CPR and AED.

2017 NEC Code Update I (8 hrs – 8 CEU)
An industry code course introducing the significant changes to the National Electrical Code,
with particular emphasis on Chapters 1 - 3, using class exercises and activities.
Bring NEC, pencil, calculator.
August 10, 2019 – Saturday – 8:30am - 4:30pm
Instructor: Caleb Kauer

Oregon Rule & Law (4hrs – 4CEU)
BMCC 980 SE Columbia Drive, Hermiston, Oregon 97838
A new industry course required by Oregon covering Oregon’s Administrative
requirements and the OESC (amendments to the NEC).
This course meets the 4-hour ORL
requirement for Oregon only.

August 14, 2019 – Wednesday - 6:30pm – 10:30pm

Conduit Bending (4hrs - 4CEU)
An industry related course with hands-on lab application designed to expand and
refresh the skill set of participants. A flexible approach will allow each participant to define challenges expanding their knowledge.

An industry related course with introduction to Solar Photovoltaics and associated
Electrical design and installation practices.

The suggestion was made that The LU112-NECA Electrical Training Center add a few new classes to the Journeyman Class Schedule…so we did!  Below you will find a little bit more information regarding our existing classes…along with some new topics, such as Fire Alarm, Electrical Safety Related Work Practices (NFPA 70E), Codeology and more.
